Could you support people in your community with their mental health problems?

We are working with organisations to build a team of mental health peer supporters.

Peer Supporters help others by:

  • Spotting the signs of poor wellbeing and connecting with individuals to offer informal support through meaningful relationships and conversations
  • Signposting to support services in the community, providing clear pathways, statutory and community services if needed
  • Promoting positive wellbeing in their communities through challenging stigma and raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing
  • Building the reputation and confidence in their local community that their organisation is a mentally healthy safe place

Mind in Mid Herts (MiMH) will train and support you and your organisations to embed this service within your community.

This will first involve attending a 2-day Peer Supporter online training course. Then, we will facilitate a network for peer supporters by offering and running: de-briefing sessions, ongoing training/development and informal opportunities to collaborate, share resources and support one another.

If you are representing an organisation and are interested in this opportunity, please get in touch with the team to discuss further via:
