‘Stop and Talk’ Tattoo Project

On Saturday 1st June and Sunday 2nd June the ‘Stop and Talk’ Tattoo Project is back on at Pure Colours Tattoo in St Albans. Kindly organised by Leanda Kelly, the event aims to raise money and awareness for 3 charities – Mind in Mid Herts, SANE and St Albans Action for Homeless. Together they raise awareness of mental health, and provide support for those in our local community that have a mental health problem or are homeless.

The semicolon tattoo event is in memory of Leanda’s children, Tanya and Steve Kordek. Book into a single hour slot to get your semicolon tattoo (any colour, as many as you like). If tattoos aren’t your thing a donation is also very welcome!

The semicolon represents a place where a sentence could end, but continues on. This meaning has been transferred as a symbol for suicide awareness and prevention to remind you your story is yours, and that you are in control of how it carries on;;;;

We’re really grateful to Leanda and all those who are involved in organising this fabulous fundraiser. As she says, ‘Every tattoo done, every donation made will make a difference! .. All I want is for nobody to experience what I am going through.. nobody should hurt this badly!
