Mind in Mid Herts is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Mind Quality Mark (MQM) — a national mark of excellence which recognises our commitment to providing safe, high-quality and life-changing mental health support in our local community.

The Mind Quality Mark is the gold standard for quality assurance across the Mind Federation. It sets a clear benchmark for good practice and legal compliance that every local Mind must meet. Each local Mind is rigorously assessed every three years through a robust review process. This includes the scrutiny of documentary evidence, in-depth interviews, and feedback from trustees, staff, volunteers and the people who use our services.

What makes this achievement especially meaningful is that the review is led not only by senior leaders from other local Minds, but also by people with lived experience of mental health problems. This ensures that the voices of those who know mental health challenges first-hand are central to defining what quality looks like.

To be awarded the Mind Quality Mark, a local Mind must demonstrate that it is a well-run, effective organisation delivering safe and impactful mental health support.

Receiving this award reassures everyone — from the people we support to our partners and funders — that Mind in Mid Herts operates to the highest standards and is dedicated to continuous improvement.
