What is Mental Health Awareness Week?
Mental Health Awareness Week is one of the biggest awareness weeks globally. It was created by the Mental Health Foundation 21 years ago with the aim to increase conversations around mental health and reduce the stigma.
What’s the theme?
This year the theme is nature and how nature can improve your mental health. Evidence has shown people have connected more with nature this year due to the pandemic, going for walks, buying house and garden plants and so much more.
How can I get involved?
There are so many ways you can get involved:
- Start conversations with your friends, colleagues and family around mental health and what they do to support their wellbeing.
- Get in touch with nature, go for a nice walk, take notice while you water your plants/ garden.
- Book onto our mental health training courses
